Form 2 SLA
SDM has 2 Formlabs Form 2 printer. This SLA printer has a large print bed and can very accurately produce parts. The Form 2 has a 40% bigger build volume from its predecessor the Form 1+, as well as a 50% more powerful laser yielding better print resolution. A new sliding peel mechanism, wiper and heated resin tank make it possible to print large, solid parts with intricate details. If you're looking for precision and great part detail this is the printer.

The Form 2 has a number of different materials to use depending on the intended use of the finished part.
Clear: Transparency, polishes to near optical clarity, great for internal channels and working with light.
White: Neutral tone, slight opacity when thin, provides a great base color for painting prints.
Grey: Neutral tone, slight opacity when thin, great for showing off surface finish, photographs easily.
Black: Highly pigmented, our most opaque, high detail resin, great for printing small, accurate features.
Tough Resin: Tough Resin is durable and resilient, ideal for snap-fit joints and rugged prototypes.
Castable Resin: Castable Resin burns out cleanly with no ash or residue, capturing your high-resolution prints through investment casting.
Flexible Resin: Flexible Resin is versatile, tactile, and impact-resistant. It makes parts that are bendable and compressible.
Dental SG Resin: Dental SG is a Class 1 biocompatible resin (EN-ISO 10993-1:2009/AC:2010, USP Class VI) designed to directly print surgical and pilot drill guides.
Dental Model: Dental Model Resin is a high performance material for crown and bridge modes with removable dies. Use with 25 micron print settings for maximum accuracy.
Durable Resin: Durable Resin stimulates Polypropylene. Ideal for parts that require a ductile plastic that can flex. Requires UV post-cure. supports print resolutions: 100 and 50 microns.
High Temp Resin: High Temp Resin has an HDT of 289 degrees C @ 0.45MPa. Ideal for static application that will undergo higher temperatures. Requires UV post-cure. Supports print resolutions: 100, 50, and 25 microns.
